10. Lap Counting

Transponders

We use personal transponders to count and measure lap times. The are very small units that fit underneath the body shell, and plug into the reciever for power. With a unique id number, everytime you pass over the start-finish loop your lap will be recorded, and saved. After the race day you'll be able to see all of your laps and gauge your relative performance.

Where to get a transponder

Contact your local club to buy a transponder. While they are an expensive one-off cost, they do have a long service life.

Hire a transponder

Alternatively you can hire a transponder on race day from NHRCCC.

We do have limited numbers available, and they are supplied with a first-in first-served basis on race day.

And please don't forget to return it to Race Control before going home.
