Points scoring
Now Qualifying will score points. At the completetion of Qualifying, drivers will be scored based on their overall position. The same points bag will be handed out to the race Final.
The weighting of the race day is split 50/50 between Qual & Final. Qualifying is worth the same value, as it is the result of 2 races.
The race format will remain as x2 Qualifying rounds and a single Final round. 5min each, and grid starts.
Drop Rounds
In 2019 we will have 2 drop rounds. We are all busy, and sometimes life gets in the way of r/c racing. It is difficult to attend all of the rounds. It's a real shame when you miss a round, and the sinkng feeling of the championship aspirations are slipping away. So to combat that, and keep the championship alive, drop rounds.
When the Championship is totalled, we remove (or drop) your 2 worst performing rounds. With 10 rounds, you will be counted on 8 of those rounds.
Hopefully this keeps the season alive for many people. We will keep all the information available over the website during the year.
Some smaller updates
Non-Members will score points now; however their points will not be displayed or made available. Previously non-members did not score points, which made the scoring a very manual process.
Tamiya GT will use a similar scoring system, but is not included in this system.
2 Championships
Reminder than indoors & outdoors are still run as separate Championships, and do not influence each other.
