PIzza Round - Update !

Normally winter is time where , unless you’re a Rugby or a netball team is where things slow down, How ever not for RC, June is busy busy month, If you missed it we had Round 5 of our club championship over this long weekend, Normally long weekend means numbers are down! We managed 117 cars across all classes, we haven't had numbers this big since before the Nationals over Easter Weekend.

We have a second meeting a little later on I the month, If you have seen the entry form on NZRCA website, that’s called the Pizza round, this is two fold, Firstly, when we were putting the calender together the School couldn’t give us 12 dates to complete our club championship up front, so we left the final round open for the time being, With a few emails, we now have our twelve round championship, and round 12 is being run on the 23rd of June, because its mid year, we have named it the Pizza Round, Why did we call it that, well!!

Not only is it a normal points round for our standard classes, but we also have a mini teams endurance race, with a twist. The team is made of three people, during the mini enduro, which is 20 minutes each team member must drive, marshal and pit for the team. Cars can either be Super GT, M Chassis or Tamiya Truck.  Now the twist on this, for the pit man to move to the driver, they must consume a supplied Pizza before taking the wheel.  The car needs to come into the lane once the pizza is consumed, and hand over takes place.

Unfortunately the Pizza’s supplied will be value range, so If you have any special dietary requirements, then we do not recommend you participate.

Entries are now open, so enter your team, give it a name, its topped out at 10 teams , and if you are racing at our club day its free to race this mini enduro :)

So outside of that, we also have Mini Z racing at Gracegate coming up on the 19th, There is also GKR raceway's Mini Z on Tuesday the 4th of June,  AIRCCC has a club day next Saturday, then they round out the month with their annual Astro Masters Event, If you have time come and check it out.

Then we are back into Round 6 of our Club champs first weekend of July.

Dropped Rounds kick in from the Pizza Round,, this is where the two worst rounds are dropped for your points score for the season.  Check the club page for current points.

See you trackside soon!
