Why is consistency a good gauge? Well it takes the equipment out the equation (to a certain degree). Regardless of the speed of car, it gives a clue to how much performance the driver extracted out of the car. Close to 100% equals the perfect race, with each lap being the same. Now, back to the disclaimer... well it does to a certain degree, because a nice handling car is much easier to drive. But if you track your consistency across your meetings, you can gauge how you are improving as a driver. Geting caught up in accidents has the most detrimental effects on your consistancy.
