AGM results & 2026 Rule Changes
Another year has flown by, and we’ve had a great one.
Still 2 more events to finish the year on a fun note, with MiniZ & OnRoad events (…and yes a trailer race on Dec 7 will be a highlight).
Now looking forward to next year - here are the changes you need to know about…
Rule Changes to SUPER GT/MON-TECH SUPER CUP
Both classes will be combined into a single class, one Championship
Can use brushed* or brushless** motors
* Tamiya Torque Tuned or Kyosho G27
** 25.5 turn brushless open motor or NZRCA Spec 21.5 turn brushless limited to 12,500rpm
Chassis is now open. All brands, any year - including current chassis.
Bodies must be a GT shell that is an accurate representation of a real car. GT = Grand Tourer. GT3 or GT4 cars are your reference.
Class is restricted to a minimum lap time. This class is intended for those starting or recently joining r/c.
Rule Changes to HYPERCARS
Bodies must be an accurate representation of a Hypercar LMH, LMDH, or IMSA GTP.
An approved list of shells will be available soon.
No Can Am. Must have the Shark fin central spine plate.
Rule Changes to MINI-Z
2WD Tuned Stock class will be retired,
Buggy will now become a paid class, with rules to follow.
Membership Changes
The NZRCA has introduced a new price for Junior licences. So memberships will reflect the new option.
You will be able to opt out of the licence part of the Club Membership fees if you have a current (same-year aka 2026) licence from another club.
FULL YEAR FEES:
ADULT $65 + $20 licence
JUNIOR $35 + $10 licence ( A junior is 18 years old or younger on the 1st of Jan 2026)
FAMILY $65 + licences

JUNIOR
First car $10

NON-MEMBERS
First car $25
